Reverse the Curse lo-fi audio recording gadget is here! Our handmade, battery powered sound recording device has a built-in mic, speaker, and allows you to record with the touch a button.
It has pitch control, delay effects, reverse audio switch and continuous loop switch. But wait, there's more you say? That's right! If you hold down the red record button during audio playback, you can use the black control knob to scrub, or scratch (like old school turntable) your recording. Get wild.
And audio nerds, yes, this baby has a 1/8 stereo audio output jack.

I have previously purchased the “Frankie” (whom I Love) and decided to buy the RTC to keep Frankie company. It’s a match made in heaven
I can’t stop playing with this. Thankfully I have a supportive tolerant wife.
Sincerely though, this is incredibly well made, easy to use, and insanely fun.
I think I saw an add of reverse the curse on instagram.
I thought it looked cool, rad and fun.
And I also saw a potential to make music with it, because it is playfull and can sparkle creativity.
So I ordered it to try it out!
After playing with it is is really what it is selled for: a toy. (Have lots of fun speeding recordings with my daughter!) And not the potential I saw in it. So I am a bit disappointed but I agree I had expections.
That being said with a couple upgrades it could be a toy and also a tool to make music.
Here are a couple ideas:
- a line out (it is an optional 10$ but the one I had doesn't work properly)
- a volume knob
- 9v in for more power
- a speed knob that can include a full octave up and down. It could even be a stepped third, fifth and octave up and down.
Those were my thoughts.

This item was the perfect addition to our puzzle room experience, where attendees had to "reverse the curse" and unscramble the secret message. Super high quality construction and design!
This device is awesome! Great fun to experiment with.
